April and Easter
After celebrating Jude's birthday, we had a pretty low-key April and Easter. Zach has been faithfully preaching through Ephesians, and there have been good opportunities to follow up with people afterward.

The ladies usually don't approach Zach, so I try to engage with them whenever I can.

This month a lady came to our village from another province. She said that her father was a Lutheran pastor here about 50 years ago (she was actually born here). She claimed that the Holy Spirit had sent her back here with a message for the people.
The leaders allowed her to preach in the Sunday church service and what she shared directly contradicted the Bible. Zach was able to discuss her message with her directly and with the village leaders in various meetings afterward. Here he is talking with Eki about the dangers of claiming to speak for the Holy Spirit.

Here are some other pictures from this month!

And of course, rainy season makes the waterfalls are bigger and the pools deeper:

(And the trail to get there much muddier!)

We celebrated Easter a few days early because holidays get busy here with lots of people around and lots of church services. I bought some special candy in Australia, so the kids had Easter baskets with... ring pops!

We are reminded at this season of the victory of Jesus over death and the hope we have in Him! That is why we are here!
